From August 7 to August 14, Yaoxue ZHANG, the President of CSU, Zhuohua ZHANG, the Vice-president of CSU, Xiaohong CHEN, the Dean of Business School were invited to visit Singapore Management University, National University of Singapore, Flinders University of Australia, and Monash University of Australia successively. They discussed on the issues of the next exchange and cooperation, signed four cooperative agreements, and participated in the graduation ceremony of students of “2+2” Joint Training Project conducted by Monash University and CSU.

The delegation of CSU firstly came to Singapore Management University. They met with Prof. Arnoud De Meyer, the president, visited campus and signed the Memorandum of Comprehensive Cooperation. Both sides reached an important consensus on cooperative education of undergraduate and postgraduate.

In National University of Singapore, Professor Tan Eng Chye, the standing vice-president, warmly welcomed the delegation. Representatives of teachers from Engineering, Medicine and Business also met with delegation, and discussed the issues of talent cultivation, scientific research, and international cooperation.

In Flinders University, Prof. Michael Barber, the president, presided over the meeting. Both sides had a fruitful discussion on the issues of Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education Program, Joint Research, Joint Manager Training Programs, etc. After the meeting, they signed the Memorandum of Understanding of these two universities. The delegation also visited rural hospital of Flinders University, Research Institute for Health and Medical of Australia, the special design philosophy and advanced medical facilities of which impressed the delegation deeply.

Monash University is a long-term partner of CSU as well as the last stop of this trip. The delegation attended welcoming ceremony, and met representatives from Engineering Department, Medical Fields and Business School. On the basis of the affirmation of existed cooperation and achievement between two universities, the delegation also put forward specific strategies about deepening cooperation of each fields. Xiaohong CHEN, the Dean of Business School of CSU, met with the Dean of School of Business & Economics of Monash University and had a in-depth discussion on the issues of cooperation of 3.5+1.5 Undergraduate Dual Degree Program, 1+1 Postgraduate Joint Training Program. Subsequently, Prof. Abid Khan, the president, presided over the signing ceremony of 2+2 Agreement of Information Technology Major and 3+1+1 Agreement of Engineering Major of both universities. Finally, the delegation attended the graduation ceremony held for over 20 graduates of 2013 session and 2014 session of 2+2 Joint Training Program of both Monash University and CSU.
