In the morning of September 9, the opening ceremony for the graduate students of class 2018 of Business School,Central South University was held in the Central South Lecture Hall. With Professor You Daming, secretary of the CPC Committee of the Business School, presiding over the ceremony, the master degree student and doctoral student of class 2018, along with Professor Chen Xiaohong (Academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and Honorary Dean of the Business School), Professor Gong Yanping (Dean of the Business School), Mr. Zhang Yongming (outstanding alumni and president of Beijing Tianyou Investment Co., LTD.), Professor Zhang Ying (Associate Dean of the Business School), Professor Li Huadong (Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee), Professor Ren Shenggang (Associate Dean of the Business School), Professor Wang Zongrun (Associate Dean of the Business School), Professor Guan Jian (Associate Dean of the Business School) and Professor Li Dayuan (Assistant Dean of the Business School), all attended this ceremony.

At the beginning of the ceremony, the whole staff stood up and sang the national anthem. After the solemn national anthem, the representatives of 2018 postgraduate student Jia Bocong, MBA/EMBA freshman Chen Gongtian and doctor graduate student Ouyang Fengxuan made speeches respectively. Jia expressed his expectation for a new starting point in the future, "relying on self-discipline and accumulation in exchange for a broader career". Chen focused on the overall view of life and stressed that the study management should have a grand pattern, connectivity and win-win cooperation. Ouyang Fengxuan is proud of being a member of the Business School of Central South University and calls for a resolution of hard study. Later, the excellent alumni, Mr. Zhang Yongming, took the stage to share his experience with the freshmen. He said that the Business School was filled with a strong atmosphere of academic research, the teachers were serious and responsible, and he was grateful for the experience of studying in the school, and asked the students to live up to their youth.

Professor Chen Xiaohong, academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and honorary dean of the Business School, extended a warm welcome to the freshmen of class 2018, and expressed sincere expectations and good wishes to the freshmen. She said to the new students: to embrace the ideal, and work unremitting efforts for it; Set stage goals, keep your feet on the ground, and practice with your hands; dare to meet the challenges, face the difficulties and obstacles, and unswervingly march forward; Take responsibility and contribute light and heat to the society and others. At last, Professor Chen said that students should cultivate a better self in love with learning and become diligent learners. Build a better self in tempering yourself and be the owner of the beauty of life; we should embrace a better self and be a versatile person of integration and innovation.

Finally, Professor Gong Yanping, dean of the Business School, systematically introduced the graduate program and the credit system of master program and doctoral program in detail, and answered all questions needing attention. While Professor Zhang Ying, associate dean of the Business School, answered questions on the training program of professional master degree students.
