On December 15, 2017, at 9:00 am, Associate Professor Liu Huanliang from the finance department of Guyton Business School of Kentucky University visited our school and gave a lecture titled Mutual Fund Preference for Pure-Play Firms in classroom 115. The lecture was hosted by Professor Deng Chao from the department of finance at Business School. Associate Professor Wei Ping and some post-graduates attended this lecture.

Associate Professor Liu Huanliang received his PhD in finance from Boston College in 2004. His research areas include corporate financing decisions, mergers and acquisitions, capital structure and corporate governance. Currently, he is an associate professor of finance (Associate Professor of Finance with tenure, 2011-present) at Guyton Business and Economics School, University of Kentucky, as well as a project leader of Master of Finance Program. He has also published over 10 papers in Journal of Financial Economics, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Journal of Banking and Finance, Journal of Corporate Finance and Financial Management.
