The Summary and Outlook Meeting of EMBA Union of CSU Is Held Successfully
On December 6, 2014, the Summary and Outlook Meeting of EMBA Union of CSU is Held in “Breeze on Water” meeting room of Meixi Lake. Huadong LI. There are over 30 persons attending this meeting, including the Deputy Secretary of Business School of CSU, Pengfei GUO, the Chairman of the First EMBA Union of CSU, some class leaders and representatives. Attendees discussed issues about 2015 EMBA Academic Exchange Annual Meeting of CSU & New Year Party, the Preparation of the Tenth Business School’s Gobi Challenge, and the Work Summary and General Election of EMBA Union.
Huadong LI, the Deputy Secretary regarded the EMBA Union of CSU as a place for elites and a high-end platform for EMBA students. He hoped students could strengthen their contacts and work together to make the EMBA Union of CSU better. Meanwhile, he told students, university and school would also give maximum support to the EMBA Union of CSU.
At the beginning of his speech, Chairman Pengfei GUO expressed his gratitude for those students who had spare time to attend this meeting. He said, it was a good tradition for members of EMBA Union to make a work summary and arrangement for the next year’s work at the end of every year. He hoped that members of EMBA Union could make their efforts to provide a better exchange platform for EMBA students.
The first one making work report is Hong YU, the monitor of EMBA Class 4. EMBA Class 4 will host 2015 EMBA Academic Exchange Annual Meeting of CSU & New Year Party. Every member of Class Committee has made great efforts to prepare for a wonderful Party. After listening to Hong YU’s brief introduction to the present preparatory work, all the representatives had a deep discussion about the Party in details and reached overlapping consensus.
Subsequently, Jin CAI, the Temporary Convener of EMBA Outdoor Club of CSU, made an introduction to the objective and significance of establishing the EMBA Outdoor Club of CSU. He hoped that this Club could de organized by EMBA students independently and actively. By the actively-planning and closely-working of club members, this Club could be operated independently. In addition to communicating with each other, club members should also engage in some other social activities. Recently, members of EMBA Outdoor Club of CSU have made great efforts to prepare for the Tenth Business School’s Gobi Challenge. On behalf of the Club, Jin CAI has made report for attendees and called for everyone to participate in it.
Finally, on behalf of the First EMBA Union of CSU, Chairman Pengfei GUO made a work summary. He said, in the past year, every department of EMBA Union of CSU performed its function to provide good service for students very well. By taking class as a unit, they had organized activities and promoted diversity and intercommunity of these activities. However, they should also realize that there are still some shortcomings in their work, which need to be overcome continually.
In addition, Chairman GUO has also stated, the three-year-term for members of EMBA Union of CSU was over, so some new members and responsible persons of every department shall be elected in accordance with Union Article. With the suggestions of Huadong Li, the Deputy Secretary, and Chairman Pengfei GUO, all the attendees elected some new members for EMBA Union of CSU. Xionghui CHEN, the monitor of Class 7 was elected to be the Chairman of the Second EMBA Union of CSU. Shaoqing CHEN was elected to be Secretary-general.
At the end of the year, the EMBA Union of CSU also takes a new look. We hope that different departments of EMBA Union can give full play to their functional roles, work actively, and strengthen their cooperation to create a good exchange platform for all EMBA students.
